By Arko III and out of Grand Prix mare, Voila (Calvados/Concorde)
The opportunity to secure progeny from a combination of horses of this calibre rarely becomes available – with both parents of formidable breeding and having proven records to 1.60 level.
Arko III is one of the world’s premier showjumping stallions. His impressive list of achievements include wins in the 2008 CSIO 5* Grand Prix of Canada in Calgary (Spruce Meadows), the CSIO 5* Grand Prix of Estoril in 2007 and the CSIO 5* Grand Prix of Lucerne and Rome in 2006.
He was number 1 for three consecutive years on the world showjumping horse rankings, British showjumper of the year for 5 consecutive years and represented Great Britain at both Nations Cup level and at the 2004 Olympic Games, under Nick Skelton.
The very definition of “Super Mare”, Voila’s reputation precedes her.
Under Great Britain’s Robert Smith, she has been a regular medal winner and representative at Nation’s Cup level – with a 3rd place finish in La Baule (France) and a 2nd place in Al Ain (UAE) in 2013.
She has also recorded innumerous results at 5* level. Among the highlights: 1st place 2013 CSIO5* Grand Prix (Dublin, Ireland), 4th place 2013 CSIO5* Grand Prix (Spruce Meadows, Canada), 3rd place CSIO5* 2013 Grand Prix (Rome, Italy) and 3rd place at the 2012 CSI5*-W World Cup (Verona, Italy).
